Job summary

Silcom Recruitment Limited is seeking a SMART Repair Technician in Southampton to join a forward-thinking motor trade business. You will carry out SMART repairs, prepare vehicles for sale, and maintain a clean, safe workshop while following a 4 on 4 off rota.

The role requires prior SMART repair experience and a full UK Driving Licence. Salary starts at £37,500 base with OTE up to £40,000 and a weekly bonus of up to £125, with uncapped overtime potential.

• Prepare vehicles for sale by using specialist repair and finishing tools.
• Use electric mops and polishing tools to correct minor imperfections.
• Refer vehicles to the bodyshop where necessary for additional work.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work area.
• Attend training as required to maintain and improve skillset.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in SMART repair or similar automotive reconditioning roles.

Ability to consistently produce a high-quality finish.

Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the business.

The Package:

Salary: £37,500 Basic Salary, OTE £40,000 (including up to £125/week bonus + uncapped overtime)

Hours: 6:00am to 6:00pm on a 4 on 4 off rota, this will be across Monday to Sunday.
