Where will you be working?

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Metering team. You’ll join the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, providing efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.

Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure customers are billed correctly and energy usage patterns are monitored.

What will you be doing?

As an engineer, you'll respond to emergency and maintenance appointments on behalf of EON, ensuring customers' Smart Meters are working correctly. Do you enjoy working independently, chatting with customers, and meeting new people?

Customer service is our top priority. You'll ensure that all jobs are completed on time and that our customers understand the benefits and safe usage of their new smart meters. Do you like meeting new people and making a difference in their lives?

During your day, you'll complete the installation and removal of smart meters (SMETS2) in our customers' homes. You will typically do around 5 jobs per day. Interested in earning extra money? There’s an uncapped bonus for any additional jobs you complete.

You will travel around your area using your tablet to see your jobs for the day. You can plan ahead with access to your schedule up to 2 weeks in advance.

What you’ll bring

• Valid UK driving license (held for at least 1 year with less than 6 points)
• Experience installing gas and electric smart meters, with relevant qualifications such as CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or an NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel
• Previous MOCOPA experience at a multi-rate level

Qualifications such as REGT1, 3 phase, or registration on the EUSR portal are a plus but not required.
