Job summary

WSP UK Building Technology Systems is seeking an Associate level Engineer to lead from concept through detailed design for smart building and system integration across multi-disciplinary projects.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers and suppliers, deliver design documentation, specify architectures, and ensure cybersecurity and performance requirements are met. This role offers hybrid working across the UK on landmark buildings and data centres.

Qualifications

• Experience in Smart Building Technology design and project delivery of medium to large building projects.
• Ability to develop, review and specify solution architectures that integrate building systems with enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Experience developing systems integration strategies bridging building automation with IoT, cloud platforms and enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of building systems technologies including MEP, BMS, fire safety, lighting and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead from concept through detailed design for smart building integration across multi-disciplinary projects.
• Develop and review solution architectures and design documentation for client approvals.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and vendors to deliver holistic smart building solutions.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to interpret requirements and align with governance criteria.
