Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a growing plant hire specialist in London recruit a Small Tools Fitter (Training on Lifting Equipment) for their Tottenham workshop.

You will service, repair and diagnose small tools and lifting equipment, with full training on lifting equipment to upskill. The role is workshop-based in Tottenham.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, with optional overtime on Saturdays at 1.5x; salary £35,000–£42,000 plus training, progression and a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Small Tools or Lifting Equipment Fitter.
• Skilled in servicing and diagnosing small tools and lifting equipment.
• Ready to train in lifting equipment and progress to Powered Access Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, diagnosing and servicing small tools and lifting equipment.
• Attend training in lifting equipment if needed.
• Work in the workshop in Tottenham, with overtime on Saturdays.

Are you a Small Tools fitter or Lifting Equipment Fitter looking to join a Growing Plant Hire specialist offering a workshop-based role, optional overtime to boost your income and specialist training on lifting equipment to upskill?

With 45 years of experience this established company has kept projects moving across London supporting Construction projects with high-quality Plant and Power Access equipment. With continued growth since their establishment, this is an exciting opportunity to join their extensive workshop team.

In this role you will be based at their workshop in Tottenham. You will be servicing, repairing and diagnosing small tool and small plant machinery such as power tools, hand tools and stroke engines. With training, you will also be required to service lifting equipment including genie and hydraulic lifts and chain hoists and eventually become a Powered Access Engineer servicing bigger equipment.

This role would suit a Small Tools or Lifting Equipment Fitter looking to join a well-established plant hire company with big aspirations that really believe in upskilling their employees.

The Role:

• Repairing, diagnosing and servicing small tools and lifting equipment
• Training in lifting equipment if needed
• Workshop based in Tottenham
• Monday - Friday (7am-5pm)
• Overtime available on Saturdays at 1.5x
