Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a Small Tools Fitter to service and maintain a range of small tools, including petrol and diesel contractor tools, saws, grinders and drills. The role supports the depots so customers can hire what they want, when they need it.

Responsibilities include testing and running electrical tools, carrying out PAT testing, and maintaining safety standards. A relevant qualification or time served is required, with a driving licence preferred but not essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical or electrical qualification (or time served).
• Significant experience servicing petrol and diesel contractor tools.
• Proven ability to test and run electrical tools.
• Current PAT testing certificate.
• Valid driving licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain a range of small tools (2/4 stroke petrol tools and electrical tools) to ensure availability for hire.
• Ensure tools are safe, serviced and ready for customers to hire when needed.
• Assist depot operations and adhere to GAP Hire Solutions' standards and processes.

The Role

GAP Hire Solution's nationwide Plant and Tool division hires a range of equipment including diggers, dumpers and small power tools to companies within the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors.
As a Small Tools Fitter you will play a pivotal role in the success of our busy depot with responsibility for servicing and maintaining a variety of small tools including 2/4 stroke petrol tools and a range of electrical tools including saws, grinders and drills to ensure that our customers can hire what they want, when they need it.

About You

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

• A relevant mechanical/electrical qualification (or time served)
• Significant experience in petrol and diesel contractor tools servicing and maintenance
• Proven ability to test and run electrical tools
• Current PAT testing certificate
• A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential
