Job summary

Iveagh Vets in Banbridge, Northern Ireland, seeks an experienced small animal vet for maternity cover from December 2026. You’ll join a friendly team with a varied caseload and the ability to work up medical and surgical cases to a high standard.

The role offers a four-day week (8.30am–6.00pm) with alternate Saturdays, funded CPD, and RCVS/VDS and AVSPNI fees paid; MiNightVet handles out-of-hours. Flexible hours are available.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Small Animal Vet to join our friendly, supportive team for maternity cover from December 2026.
Iveagh Vets is an independently owned mixed practice in Banbridge, around 30 minutes from Belfast and 90 minutes from Dublin. You’ll enjoy a varied caseload and the opportunity to work up medical and surgical cases to a high standard.
We’d love to hear from a vet with strong medical and surgical skills, excellent communication with clients and colleagues, and a commitment to providing excellent care.

What we offer

• Four-day working week, 8.30 am–6.00 pm, plus every other Saturday morning, 8.30 am–1.00 pm. With option of flexible or part time hours.
