Job summary

Parklands Portglenone Surgery, part of Vet Group, is seeking an experienced Small Animal or Mixed Veterinary Surgeon for maternity cover starting December 2026. You will join a 13-vet team across 5 sites, handling high medicine, soft tissue, orthopaedic and ECC cases with a clear career progression path in a supportive family environment.

The package offers up to £60,000 pro rata depending on experience, with CPD encouraged and supported to help you grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary surgeon in small animal or mixed practice.
• Able to work at least 3 days per week.
• Experience with 1st and 2nd opinion caseload.
• CPD encouraged and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second opinion caseload management.
• Join a 13-vet team across 5 sites during maternity cover.
• Deliver high standards of patient care within a structured team.
