Job summary

Supreme Search Specialists is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for a well-established practice in South Shields, Tyne and Wear. This part-time role is up to 31 hours per week with flexible patterns and no out-of-hours work.

The role includes sole-charge Saturdays (1 in 4 rota) and a supportive team in an RCVS-accredited practice with Silver ISFM accreditation and two theatres to maintain a broad clinical skillset.

Qualifications

• Excellent client communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confidence with routine surgical procedures.
• Ability to work sole charge on Saturdays and manage a varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality first-opinion veterinary care.
• Manage a varied small animal caseload.
• Conduct routine consultations and preventative care.
• Perform routine surgical procedures.
• Work sole charge on Saturdays when required.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain high standards of care.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff.
• Participate in clinical and team meetings.
• Contribute to practice protocols and continuous improvement.
