Job summary

The Vet Service is seeking an RCVS-registered Small Animal Vet Surgeon to join a busy, supportive practice on a part-time 12-month fixed-term contract. This role focuses on consultations and inpatient care, with optional surgical days for routine procedures.

With no out-of-hours and no sole-charge responsibilities, you will work collaboratively within a friendly team and have flexibility around school hours; weekend work is on a 1-in-6 rotation, paid in addition to salary.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration is required.
• Comfortable with routine consultations and small animal patient care.
• Confidence with routine surgery is useful for those wanting surgical days.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate client approach.
• Able to work collaboratively within a supportive clinical team.
