Zusammenfassung

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to deliver the speech and language pathway within the Liaison and Diversion agenda across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The post holder will assess needs, advise police and courts, and build care pathways with referring agencies.

HCPC registration and Royal College membership are required, with significant Band 5 experience in community settings.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised speech and language therapy degree, or equivalent professional qualification
• Post-registration training and development evidenced, with newly qualified competencies signed off
• Current HCPC licence to practise
• Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
• Significant Band 5+ experience in a community setting

Aufgaben

• Deliver the speech and language pathway within the Liaison and Diversion agenda
• Hold a specialist speech and language portfolio, advising therapists and senior staff across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
• Write timely reports for police and courts on individuals to inform disposal
• Attend police stations, custody suites, and courts to carry out specialist assessments
• Build links with referring agencies in custody, court and probation as the single health contact
• Deliver specialist training on speech and language need to custody staff and stakeholders
• Work autonomously, organising own time to a delegated workload
• Travel to multiple sites across Hampshire and Isle of Wight as required
