Job summary

Reflex Group in Worcester seeks an experienced Slitter Operator to maximise machine efficiency and ensure designs are slit to customer specs within target times. You will organise ancillary equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment supporting WIP and finished goods for the next process.

The role emphasizes safety and efficiency, requiring attention to health, hygiene and standard operating procedures, with handovers to maintain continuous quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety requirements within the Conversion department are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure that all Slitter operators are operating in a safe manner.
• Be responsible for the ancillary equipment of the Slitting machines.
• Minimise downtime and waste within the Conversion department.
• Develop machine performance efficiency by troubleshooting and CI improvements.
• Be responsible for consumables used within the Slitting department.
• Operate within schedule and ensure set times/run times are adhered to; equipment ready for next job.
• Take care of equipment and resources with regard to Health & Safety, hygiene and maintenance.
• Follow Health, Safety and Hygiene procedures, including BRC criteria.
• Carry out effective shift handovers to ensure quality and reduce downtime.
• Ensure all paperwork is ready for the job and next shift.
• Locate materials for current and pending jobs.
