Job summary

Orbitech Recruitment is seeking an experienced Slinger/Signaller for a long-term role in North Lincolnshire on an RC project. Start date 28 September 2026; 14–20 months duration. You will work with crane operators and groundworks teams to ensure safe lifting operations according to site plans.

Requirements include a valid CPCS/NPORS Slinger/Signaller ticket and proven civils/infrastructure project experience. Right to work in the UK and a safety-conscious approach are essential.

Responsibilities

Orbitech Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Slinger / Signaller for a long-term position on a major RC project in North Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and safety-focused operative to secure consistent work on a large-scale infrastructure scheme.

Duration: 14 - 20 months

Pay & Hours

• £200 per day (up to 10 hour shifts)
• Monday to Friday
• 07:00 - 17:00
• Long-term work available

The Role

As a Slinger / Signaller, you will play a key role in supporting lifting operations and groundworks activities on site. Working closely with the Lift Supervisor, plant operators, and groundworks team, you will help ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

• Slinging and signalling loads in line with lift plans and site procedures
• Assisting with lifting operations involving plant and materials
• Working alongside a groundworks gang on deep drainage and pipe laying works
• Ensuring correct use of lifting accessories and equipment
• Maintaining clear communication with crane and plant operators
• Supporting safe working practices at all times
• Adhering strictly to HS2 health & safety, environmental, and quality standards

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Slinger / Signaller on civils or infrastructure projects
• Valid CPCS or NPORS Slinger / Signaller ticket (A40 or equivalent)
• Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety
• Ability to work safely in deep excavations and high-risk environments
• Right to work in the UK
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player
