Job summary

In the first six months, time is split between inpatient and outpatient work, including ten weeks in ventilation ward supernumerary with two to three weeks post-take activity.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the General Medical Council with licence to practise.
• Membership of the Royal College of Physicians UK (or equivalent).
• Listed on the Specialist Register for Respiratory Medicine, or due to be registered within six months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Join the consultant on-call rota and participate in post-take ward rounds.
• First six months: split time between inpatient and outpatient work, with ~10 weeks in ventilation ward supernumerary capacity and 2–3 weeks of post-take activity.
• Second six months: lead the Ventilation Unit with supervision, plus 2–3 weeks of post-take activity.
