Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the UK to support disengaged and vulnerable learners with SEMH/SEND needs. Roles include in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching of Maths, English, or Science, with trauma-informed approaches and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/ PMLD in trauma-informed way.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• UK-based right to work (remote/online allowed).
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online / remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan and report on lessons, providing regular feedback on progress.
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools with trauma-informed tutoring.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
