Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers in the United Kingdom to work with schools and local authorities. The role supports disengaged and vulnerable learners with trauma-informed teaching across Maths, English or Science.

You will operate in-person, online or hybrid settings and contribute to a supportive team dedicated to transforming young lives. Applicants should have QTS/QTLS and 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably with SEND/SEMH.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH in trauma-informed settings.
• Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD/PMLD is desirable.
• Ability to teach Maths, English, or Science with a pupil-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-person, online, and hybrid Maths/English/Science tuition to children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan lessons and provide regular feedback on progress.
• Support safeguarding and create a safe learning environment.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
