WYPF in Bradford is seeking a SkillsHouse Engagement Lead Adviser to reach out to vulnerable young people and adults, guiding them toward training, work, or further education.

You will manage a caseload of 50–80 clients, work with schools, colleges, youth services and FE providers, and build strong community partnerships.

The role requires you to work evenings and alternate Saturdays, have a driving license and access to a car, and be comfortable with lone working.

Qualifications

• Confident communicator with ability to connect with vulnerable young people and adults.
• Experience in managing teams and driving performance to ensure meaningful intervention and timely referrals.
• Experience in youth support, education, community outreach, or a similar role.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• Organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage a varied workload.
• Comfortable presenting and promoting to diverse audiences.
• IT literate with good digital communication skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and a commitment to learner welfare.

Responsabilités

• Manage a small team of Engagement Advisers, including evenings and alternate Saturday shifts.
• Outreach to schools, colleges, youth services, charities, and other organisations to engage new learners.
• Build relationships with partner organisations and referral partners to support learners beyond traditional channels.
• Hold a caseload of 50–80 active clients and ensure timely referrals and meaningful intervention.
• Work in the community to spot opportunities and promote the programme to diverse audiences.
• Ensure safeguarding and learner welfare are upheld and promote inclusive access.

Hours of work:Mon-Fri: 12pm-8pm plus alternate Saturdays 10am-2pm

(When working a Saturday there will be time off during the week.)

Base: Office / Hybrid.

As a SkillsHouse Engagement Lead Adviser, your mission will be to reach out and inspire vulnerable young people and adults to take their next step and to support them in training, work, or further education.

You will have a caseload of up to 50 - 80 active clients at any one time.You will work in partnership with other teams within SkillsHouse and link in with organisations such as Care Leavers and Youth Justice services, and Further Education providers, ensuring NEET young people are able to access appropriate and timely training.

You'll be out in the community building relationships, spotting opportunities, and connecting with schools, colleges, youth services, charities, and other organisations to engage and support new learners outside of the traditional referral channels.

This is a perfect role for someone with a youth work, support, or community background who is confident, proactive, and passionate about giving young people and adults the best start in life.

You will also be managing a small team of Engagement Advisers who will be working evenings and alternate Saturdays. Due to the nature of support this client group requires, this role will require you to work unsociable hours. You will need access to a car and to be comfortable with lone working.
