Bradford Council is seeking a proactive SkillsHouse Engagement Lead Adviser to inspire vulnerable young people and adults towards training, work or further education. You will manage a caseload of 50–80 clients, working with partners across care leavers, youth justice and FE providers to facilitate timely referrals and meaningful interventions.

Hours of work: Mon-Fri: 12pm-8pm plus alternate Saturdays 10am-2pm(When working a Saturday there will be time off during the week.) Base: Office / Hybrid.

As a SkillsHouse Engagement Lead Adviser, your mission will be to reach out and inspire vulnerable young people and adults to take their next step and to support them in training, work, or further education. You will have a caseload of up to 50 - 80 active clients at any one time.You will work in partnership with other teams within SkillsHouse and link in with organisations such as Care Leavers and Youth Justice services, and Further Education providers, ensuring NEET young people are able to access appropriate and timely training.You'll be out in the community building relationships, spotting opportunities, and connecting with schools, colleges, youth services, charities, and other organisations to engage and support new learners outside of the traditional referral channels. This is a perfect role for someone with a youth work, support, or community background who is confident, proactive, and passionate about giving young people and adults the best start in life. You will also be managing a small team of Engagement Advisers who will be working evenings and alternate Saturdays. Due to the nature of support this client group requires, this role will require you to work unsociable hours. You will need access to a car and to be comfortable with lone working.
