Job summary

Safran is seeking a Learning & Development leader based in Burnley to shape and deliver the company's capability strategy. You will partner with operations to identify skills gaps, plan workforce development, and manage budgets for L&D and Apprenticeships.

You will drive the Safran University/Selia learning ecosystems, design induction programs, and report on workforce capability while collaborating with global learning teams to share best practices.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Thorough understanding of Learning Management Systems and HR Systems.
  • Learning Needs Analysis and Workforce Planning.
  • Project Management skills and budgeting experience.
  • Presentation and Facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of engineering/manufacturing learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the Learning and Skills Development Strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Partner with Operational Managers to identify capability requirements and develop workforce development plans.
  • Manage the Learning and Development budget and Apprenticeship Levy budget with governance and value for money.
  • Oversee the Manufacturing & Production Apprenticeship Programme including recruitment, onboarding, learner progress, provider management and End Point Assessment.
  • Manage apprenticeship sponsorship schemes and pipelines through apprenticeships, graduate programmes and STEM initiatives.
  • Design and deliver the Corporate Induction Programme with innovative learning solutions.
  • Manage organisational competency frameworks, skills matrices and workforce capability reporting.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis and collate learning requirements for workforce planning and budgeting.
  • Oversee mandatory learning programmes to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain learning curricula within Safran University and Selia, supporting classroom, blended and digital delivery.
  • Collaborate with Safran University and Group Learning teams to implement Group learning.

Job description

  • To develop and implement the Company's Learning and Skills Development Strategy aligned to business objectives.
