Mencap is seeking a Senior Skills Coach to lead our Skills Coaches in Barnet, delivering tailored support to learners with SEN within the Supported Internship programme.

This full-time role (37.5 hours) focuses on coaching, progressing learners toward paid employment, managing risk, and ensuring accurate reporting and QA across the team.

The role also involves building strong relationships with parents, carers and employers, and delivering against targets with commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Experience of supporting people to progress and develop.
• Experience of delivering against targets in a team setting.
• Experience of risk management within a service.
• Knowledge of the sector and how it supports learners with learning disabilities.
• Knowledge of safe working practices in educational/CARE settings.
• A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent) required.

Responsabilidades

As a Senior Skills Coach, your role is central to the delivery of our Mencap Training Academy. You will lead a team of Skills Coaches to support learners with SEN to complete all elements of the programme in line with requirements by providing tailored support. What you will do as a Senior Skills Coach?

• Line manage and coach a team to support learners to progress towards paid employment.
• Plan Skills Coach in work support hours to meet agreed targets to receive Access to Work funding.
• Support and ensure the team build and maintain good relationships with parents, carers, learner support networks and employers.
• Ensure accurate and up to date record keeping and reporting.
• Conduct quality assurance activity to drive constant improvement.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure the needs of the learner are being met.
