Job summary

STI Limited seeks a Production Technician with strong PCB soldering skills to support our aerospace and defence manufacturing team. You will work on complex electromechanical systems, assemble and test products, and ensure high-quality builds in a structured environment.

Requirements include extensive soldering experience, attention to detail, dexterity, and the ability to obtain UK Security Clearance. IPC J-STD training is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience soldering PCBs and assemblies to customer drawings.
• Ability to rework and repair PCB assemblies of varying complexity.
• IPC J-STD certification or training is advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Integrate PCBs into RF amplifiers and small assemblies per drawings.
• Assemble and integrate higher-level product builds.
• Complete PCBs using Through Hole and Surface Mount tech to fine tolerances.
• Terminate connectors and wires (RF connectors, power, pads).
• Rework and repair PCBs of varying complexity when required.

We're seeking an experienced Production Technician with good soldering skills to join our expanding manufacturing team as we continue to deliver innovative solutions to the aerospace + defence and commercial sectors.

Please note: The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance without restrictions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrate PCBs into RF Amplifiers and other small assemblies and complete to customer specific engineering drawings
• Complete the assembly and integration of the higher-level product builds
• Complete partially built PCBs using Through Hole and Surface Mount technology down to microscopic level
• Termination of connectors and wires (including but not limited to soldered buckets, RF connectors, wires to terminals/pads, power)
• Rework and repair of PCBs of various complexity when the project requires.

What We’re Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A high level of experience in the above skills
• Demonstrates expertise in the rework, repair, and modification of PCB assemblies of varying complexity.
• IPC J-STD certification or previous IPC training would be highly advantageous
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A good level of dexterity
• A hardworking approach
