Job summary

Staffline is recruiting Skilled Production Operatives in Wellingborough to work for a leading National Bakery, handling chilled and frozen foods including ready meals.

The role offers fixed shifts Mon-Fri with start times from 4am or 6am and a pay rate of £13 per hour. Canteen on site, free car parking, PPE provided, and full training are included along with opportunities for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and supply materials, mixes, and products in line with production schedules and recipe specifications.
• Carry out pre-start checks, quality checks and food safety inspections to ensure standards.
• Accurately complete production documentation and traceability records.
• Ensure products meet quality/weight/appearance specifications and report issues.
• Follow allergen control, GMP, hygiene, and clean-as-you-go practices.
• Operate production equipment safely and maintain targets while minimising downtime.
• Wear PPE and adhere to H&S procedures, reporting hazards.

Great opportunity to work as a Skilled Production Operative for our clients leading National Bakery, working with chilled and frozen foods including ready meals.

Staffline is recruiting Skilled Production Operatives in Wellingborough.

The rate of pay is £13 per hour.

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are:

• 4am to 1pm
• 6am to 3pm

Your Time at Work

As a Skilled Production Operative, your duties include:

• Prepare, process, and supply materials, mixes, and products in accordance with production schedules and recipe specifications.
• Carry out pre-start checks, CCP monitoring, quality checks, and food safety inspections to ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
• Accurately complete all production documentation, including traceability records, process checks, downtime records, and compliance paperwork.
• Ensure all products meet quality, weight, appearance, and specification requirements, reporting any issues immediately to management or QA.
• Follow allergen control procedures, GMP standards, hygiene requirements, and clean-as-you-go practices at all times.
• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining production targets while minimising downtime and waste.
• Wear the required PPE and comply with all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards, accidents, or unsafe practices promptly.
• Support the training and development of team members, maintaining training records and ensuring operational competency across the team.
• Coordinate with production, technical, and warehouse teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and the smooth flow of production.
• Lead by example in promoting a positive working environment, treating colleagues with dignity and respect, and following the principles of Stop, Challenge, and Act while addressing performance, quality, or safety concerns.

Please note: there will be some manual duties involved and heavy lifting in a chilled environment.
