Job summary

Yeo Valley Production Ltd is seeking a Machine Operator for its production lines. You will ensure yogurt filling, sealing, coding and packing meet high quality standards, supporting swift line performance and daily targets.

The role requires safe operation of packaging machinery, attention to detail and teamwork during a 4-on 4-off night shift from 18:00 to 06:00. Training and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Essential: good team working skills, able to undertake manual tasks, attention to detail, effective communication.
• Desirable: basic food hygiene knowledge, HACCP awareness, prior machine operator experience in production.

Responsibilities

• Operate filling, sealing, coding and packing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor product quality, packaging integrity and line performance.
• Complete routine checks (weights, seals, codes, visuals) and record results.
• Support changeovers, material replenishment and general line operations.
• Collaborate with Production and QA to maintain compliance and resolve issues.

Purpose of role - Production:

Ensure yogurt is filled, sealed, coded and packed to the highest quality standards, supporting efficient line performance and meeting daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate filling, sealing, coding and packing machinery safely and efficiently
• Monitor product quality, packaging integrity and line performance throughout the shift
• Complete routine checks (weights, seals, codes, visual standards) and record results accurately
• Work closely with Production and QA to maintain compliance and resolve issues quickly
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area in line with hygiene standards

Support changeovers, material replenishment and general line operations.

Standard shift patterns are 18:00 - 06:00 on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern.
