Job summary

JN Bentley is seeking enthusiastic Skilled Operatives to work on civil engineering and groundworks projects across the Haslingden and Bacup regions. You will join a site team delivering groundworks and civil works on water-related sites, with a proactive health and safety focus.

Candidates should have proven operative experience, CSCS/CPCS/NOCN or NPORS tickets with NVQ, and a full UK driving licence. A strong team approach and commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Skilled Operative on civil engineering or groundworks projects.
• Experience in general civil works including concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying.
• Current CSCS / CPCS / NOCN or NPORS with NVQ and relevant plant tickets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groundworks and civil engineering activities on construction sites, predominately within water projects.
• Carry out day-to-day site activities safely and efficiently, contributing to works delivered to programme.
• Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and health & safety on site.

Job description

At JN Bentley Ltd, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Skilled Operatives who live in and around Haslingden and Bacup areas, with work across the wider region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid background in civil engineering and groundworks to join a well-established and growing business. You will have a proactive approach to work, health, and safety, with experience working within the water industry and carrying out general civil works, including concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.

The Role

Reporting to the Lead Hand and Site Management, you will work as part of a site team delivering groundworks and civil engineering activities across construction sites predominantly within the water industry.

Your role will include carrying out day-to-day site activities safely and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of works to programme, and maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and health & safety.

Candidate Specification

• Proven experience working as a Skilled Operative on civil engineering or groundworks projects
• Experience in general civil works, including concrete pours, deep drainage and pipe laying
• Strong health & safety focus, with experience working within a reporting culture
• Current CSCS / CPCS / NOCN or NPORS with NVQ and relevant plant tickets
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site team
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
