Job summary

JN Bentley is seeking enthusiastic General Operatives based in York to join our Groundworker gangs working on sites across the region. You will support on general civils tasks including concreting, drainage and pipe laying, with a proactive health and safety focus.

Experience in civil engineering and water projects is valued; CSCS and health & safety training are minimum requirements, with CPCS/NOCN/NPORs tickets encouraged. Driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience within Civil Engineering – general civils, concreting, excavations, deep drainage and pipe-laying.
• CSCS Touchscreen & 1 day Health & Safety Awareness course - Minimum requirement
• Ideally holding or working towards CPCS / NOCN / NPORs Plant Tickets.
• Driving Licence essential

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a gang on construction sites predominantly within the water industry.
• Maintain health and safety standards on site.
• Carry out general civils tasks as required.

Here at JN Bentley we are looking for enthusiastic and positive General Operatives who live in York, to join one of our Groundworker gangs who also live in York and are working on our sites across the region.

In the role you will work as part of a gang on various construction sites predominantly within the water industry. You will have a proactive attitude towards work and health and safety, ideally with experience of general civils work, concreting, deep drainage and pipe laying.

Candidate Specification

• Experience within a wide range of Civil Engineering – particularly general civils work, concreting, excavations, deep drainage and pipe-laying.
• CSCS Touchscreen & 1 day Health & Safety Awareness course - Minimum requirement
• Ideally holding or working towards your CPCS / NOCN / NPORs Plant Tickets.
• Driving Licence essential

Advantageous

• Plant tickets for Forward Tipping Dumper & Ride on Roller would be advantageous, but training given if needed.
