Job summary

GBRS is seeking a skilled operative in Weston-super-Mare to support the client’s production line. The role focuses on electronics, soldering and hands-on assembly for laser machine manufacturing and assembly.

You will help set up production equipment and contribute to a reliable assembly process. The ideal candidate has practical experience in electronics and mechanical assembly, with a natural understanding of how components and systems interact.

Qualifications

• Experience working with electronics and soldering.
• Hands-on assembly and wiring of mechanical parts.
• Ability to test, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, installation, configuration and setup of production equipment; help establish an efficient assembly line.
• Solder, wire components, assemble sub-assemblies; test equipment and resolve faults to ensure consistent machine assembly.

Job description

GBRS are currently looking for a skilled operative to work with our client in Weston-Super-Mare.

We are looking for skilled and mechanically minded workers with practical experience in electronics, soldering, and hands-on assembly to support the development and establishment of our client's production line for the manufacture and assembly of laser machines.

Your main duties will include:

• Assisting with the assembly, installation, configuration, and setup of production equipment, as well as helping to establish an efficient and reliable assembly line.
• Soldering and wiring electronic components, assembling mechanical parts and sub-assemblies, testing equipment, troubleshooting faults, and making practical adjustments to ensure machines are assembled correctly and consistently.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with electronics, soldering, mechanical assembly, machinery, or production environments, a natural ability to understand how components, mechanisms, and electronic systems work together.

This role as a skilled operative will be a 3-6 month assignment and will be working Monday to Friday from 10am-6pm and looking for someone to start ASAP!
