Job summary

Red Sky Personnel Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Skilled Operative for a busy civil engineering project in Derby. The role requires operating a dumper and performing slinger/signaller duties, with start on 10 Aug 2026 for approximately six weeks.

A valid CSCS card and CPCS/NPORS Dumper and Slinger/Signaller tickets are essential. £220 per day (Umbrella PAYE) is offered for this on-site position with immediate start availability on a project involving drainage, excavation and heavy plant

Qualifications

• CSCS card valid for site access.
• Dumper ticket (CPCS or NPORS) required.
• Slinger/Signaller ticket (CPCS or NPORS) required.
• Experience on civil engineering/utilities projects advantageous.
• Experience around drainage, excavations and heavy plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dumper when required.
• Carry out slinger/signaller duties.
• Assist with general civil engineering and groundwork activities.
• Support excavation, drainage and utility installation works.
• Work safely alongside plant and lifting operations.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Skilled Operative who also holds Dumper and Slinger/Signaller tickets to join a busy civil engineering project in Derby.

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS Card
• CPCS or NPORS Dumper Ticket
• CPCS or NPORS Slinger/Signaller Ticket
• Previous experience on civil engineering or utilities projects
• Experience working around drainage, excavations and heavy plant
• Good understanding of site health and safety
• Start date: 10.08.2026

Duties:

• Operating a dumper when required
• Carrying out slinger/signaller duties
• Assisting with general civil engineering and groundwork activities
• Supporting excavation, drainage and utility installation works
• Working safely alongside plant and lifting operations

This is an immediate start on a busy infrastructure project, offering approximately six weeks' work with the potential for further opportunities.
