Job summary

Vortex Recruitment in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to join a busy, expanding operation.

You will fabricate and assemble metal components to precise specifications, read engineering drawings, operate workshop machinery and perform welding duties as needed. A proactive, detail‑oriented approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential; MIG/TIG welding experience would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in metal fabrication is essential.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Confident using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• MIG/TIG welding experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and assembling metal components to required specifications.
• Cutting, shaping, drilling and preparing metal materials.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and fabrication plans.
