Skilled Machinist required in Abingdon for a permanent, full-time position with Manpower UK. The salary ranges from £31,200 to £37,050 per annum, equating to between £16.00 and £19.00 per hour depending on experience. Working 37 hours weekly, with occasional overtime available, you will operate manual lathes to craft precision components. Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, executing turning, boring, and finishing operations, and handling materials such as stainless steel, alloys, and plastics. The employer, a global producer of low-temperature equipment, seeks someone willing to advance onto larger machinery, including horizontal borers. Routine tool maintenance is also involved.
