Job summary

Market 36 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join a busy manufacturing environment, producing precision components from plastic and metal from technical drawings.

You will set up lathes, read drawings, inspect parts with verniers and micrometers, and ensure quality while maintaining a safe workspace. Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with on-site parking and benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating manual lathes to produce precision components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret specifications.
• Experience with grinding, milling and assembly advantageous.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

About You

• Previous experience operating manual lathes.

Salary & Hours

£16.50 - £19.50 per hour

Mon - Fri 8am - 4:30pm
