Job summary

Northwood Hygiene Products Ltd is seeking a Skilled Machine Operator to run our paper converting machinery. You will perform checks, changeovers, and basic maintenance to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.

The role follows a 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern (06:00–18:00 and 18:00–06:00) with a strong emphasis on safety and accurate documentation. Prior experience in converting or FMCG environments is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Technical and mechanical flair.
• Experience setting machinery and/or changeovers.
• Fault finding and supporting maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Experience in Converting, Packaging, Foods, or FMCG is beneficial.
• Familiarity with winding/rewinding machinery is beneficial.
• Critical thinking and willingness to challenge processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate high speed converting machinery and conduct regular quality checks.
• Perform changeovers and basic maintenance as required.
• Refer to job cards/centr lines and record documentation to a high standard.
• Carry out pre-use lifting and equipment guarding checks for safety.
