Job summary

Greencore is recruiting for a Machine Operator in Leeds. You will work 4 on 4 off, with 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am shifts, supporting the engineering team to run the line safely and efficiently.

The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining factory machinery, completing quality documents and adhering to GMP. Prior food manufacturing experience is preferred, and the position requires strong English and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Good spoken and written English.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintenance on factory machinery.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to work day and night shifts across rotating pattern.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain machinery to ensure smooth operation.
• Resolve mechanical and procedural issues on the line.
• Complete and sign off quality documentation.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety standards.
• Improve line efficiency by interpreting production plans with equipment knowledge.
• Consider health, safety, environmental and quality issues in decision making.
• Engage in training and personal development.
• Monitor critical control points for product safety and quality, implement corrective actions.
