Job summary

Greencore, based at our Holbeach St Marks site in Lincolnshire, is seeking a Skilled Logistics Operative for day shifts. The role involves handling despatch, stock checks, and safe loading/unloading in a high-pace production environment.

You will contribute to continued product quality and throughput, with opportunities for training and progression within our large, multinational company. A Counterbalance and Reach FLT license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills are essential for accurate documentation.
• Strong teamwork and communication are required in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Experience in logistics, stores or despatch is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in office administration tasks and team coordination.
• Monitor health & safety in the area and check incoming goods against delivery notes.
• Prepare goods for transportation and assist with loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Count stock, manage despatch and despatch-related areas, and maintain GMP standards.

The site specialises in making chilled pizzas.About the role.We manufacture a wide range of high-quality chilled products for our dedicated customers at our sites. Our production lines are non-stop, so you’ll be kept busy creating our products. Working right at the heart of our fast-paced, high-pressured environment, you’ll enjoy plenty of variety, be encouraged to find where your strengths lie and supported to achieve your full potential.Skilled Logistics Operative - Days - Subsidised Bus Service Available duties may include:Taking part in office administration tasks and team coordinationHealth & Safety monitoring in the areaCheck and record incoming goods against delivery notesProvide samples for the Quality Controllers while unloading the vehicleMove pallets to a designated location using an electric truck/forkliftLoad and unload vehicles using an electric pallet truckPreparation of goods for transportationReceiving, unloading, and checking of deliveriesReplenishment of end-of-line, despatch and logistics areas with crates, pallets, and other goods as requiredCounting of stockTransferring and disposal of materialsMonitoring of areas (including despatch, de-box, loading bays and perimeter) for required temperaturesCleanliness of above areas; ensuring high GMP standardsCompletion of machinery start-up checksAbout you.Relevant Logistics/Stores/Despatch experience, which has ideally been within the food-manufacturing or warehousing environmentCounterbalance and Reach FLT licenceExcellent Numeracy and Literacy skills and experience with documentation and administrationHigh attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent team working skills to effectively collaborate with other members of the warehouse teamFlexible approach to work and hoursGood communication skillsStrong computer skills and knowledge of warehouse systems favourableIn return, we’ll offer you the encouragement, support and opportunity to develop your career and take it as far as you can, or as far as you want to go, within our large multinational company.At Greencore we put our people at the core.
