Job summary

TXM Recruit in Crawley is seeking dedicated hands-on workers from skilled labouring, PTS track working or landscape labouring backgrounds to join a long-term contract until January 2027 on trains. You will prep carriages and perform final exterior polishing in a depot environment. The role is highly physical, with training provided; evenings, Monday to Friday.

The pay is £20.00 per hour Ltd outside IR35, rising to £23.00 after training. You must pass medical and screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in physically demanding roles such as skilled labouring, PTS track work or landscape labouring.
• Working knowledge of health and safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Machine Polishing: Perform high-quality machine polishing on carriage paintwork to remove surface defects.
• Final Finishing: Apply waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings as required for long-term protection.
• Surface Preparation: Clean, decontaminate and mask surfaces prior to polishing.

Rolling Stock/Vehicle Polisher - Wecurrently have a fantastic opportunity for dedicated hands-on workers eitherfrom skilled labouring roles / PTS Track Working / Landscape labouring or similar backgrounds to join a long term contract until January 2027 in Crawley working on Trains.

Working in a train depot you will be required to prep carriages before carrying out final exterior machine polishing. This is a highly physical role, all training will be provided

This role has an attractive rate of £20.00 Per Hour Ltd OUTSIDE IR35 rising to £23.00 after training, and will be conducted Monday to Friday on an Evening shift

Job Details:

• Machine Polishing: Perform high-quality machine polishing on Carriage paintwork to remove surface defects such as swirl marks, holograms, light scratches etc
• Final Finishing: Apply waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings as required for long-term protection etc
• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces prior to polishing by cleaning, decontaminating, and masking sensitive areas.

Job Experience:

• Experience of working in a physically demanding role (Skilled Labouring, PTS Trackmen, Landscape Labourers etc)
• A working knowledge of H&S responsibilities

You must also be able to pass a Medical, Drug & Alcohol screening.
