Job summary

Readshaw Interiors in Ilkley is seeking a skilled Joiner to fabricate and assemble wooden structures, cabinets and furniture using hand and power tools. You will read drawings and operate a spindle moulder and sliding table saw, with strong attention to safety and a tidy workshop.

The position offers Monday–Friday hours, full UK driving licence, and reliable commuting to Ilkley. Starting pay is £15 per hour, negotiable with experience, plus overtime and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Joiner or similar role.
• Experience using spindle moulder and sliding table saw.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Full UK driving licence required and able to commute to Ilkley.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications.
• Assemble wooden components using screws, nails, or adhesives.
• Install hardware such as hinges and handles.
• Sand and finish surfaces to ensure smoothness.
• Repair or replace damaged wooden structures.
• Use spindle moulder and sliding table saw to complete projects.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.

Location: High House Farm, Turner Lane, Ilkley LS29 0LJ

Salary: Starting at A GBP 15 per hour : can be negotiated dependant on experience.

Vacancy Type: Full:time, Permanent (39.25 hours per week)

Readshaw Interiors are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling wooden structures, such as cabinets and furniture as well as using machinery within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read and interpret drawings. We are ideally looking for someone who has general workshop skills and who has previous experience working with a spindle moulder machine and sliding table saw.

Responsibilities
