Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd is seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to produce high-quality bespoke furniture components for a hospitality-focused manufacture near Leeds. You will read drawings, operate hand tools and woodworking machinery, and ensure products meet top standards.

The ideal candidate has joinery experience and a keen eye for detail; full training will be provided. This is a permanent, full-time role offering development opportunities in a well-established business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner.
• Read technical drawings and work to accurate measurements.
• Strong knowledge of traditional and modern joinery techniques.
• NVQ/City Guilds in Joinery would be an advantage.

Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire

Salary: A GBP 16 per hour

Job Type: Full:time, Permanent

Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established for over 25 years and is a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke furniture for the hospitality industry. They manufacture and fit out hotels with high:quality furniture for prestigious clients including Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous assembly experience and either some experience operating woodworking machinery or a keen interest in learning. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Carry out high:quality bench joinery and woodworking.

• Manufacture bespoke joinery and furniture components.
• Use a range of hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Good problem:solving skills.
• NVQ/City and Guilds in Joinery or relevant experience would be an advantage.
