Job summary

BEAR Scotland is recruiting a Skilled Civils Roadworker for our Bonnyrigg depot. This hands-on role covers highways, drainage and civil projects with potential for supervision on site.

You’ll be joining a team focused on delivering high standards of safety and quality while supporting growth and development within the company. Key responsibilities include road construction, kerbing, drainage installation, and site setup.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in civils, roadworks, or groundworks (essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out road construction and resurfacing works.
• Install kerbing, paving, and drainage systems.
• Undertake excavation and general groundwork duties.
• Operate hand tools and small plant machinery safely.
• Support traffic management and site setup.
• Assist with general civil engineering tasks as required.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety at all times.
