Job summary

Holdsworth Foods is seeking a skilled butcher to join our butchery team at the Tideswell depot. You will prepare and cut meat to customer specifications, trim fat and gristle, portion meat for packaging, and maintain a clean, safe work area from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong knife skills and safe handling of sharp objects.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications.
• Trim excess fat, gristle, and other undesirable parts from meat.
• Portion meat into appropriate sizes for packaging.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment.
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
