Job summary

Simpson is a privately owned, family run, medium sized construction company based in York. We are seeking an experienced Bench Hand Joiner / Cabinet Maker to join our skilled workshop team.

This hands-on role focuses on manufacturing high-end bespoke cabinetry in our in-house joinery workshop, with opportunities for overtime and progression. Interpreting technical drawings and producing quality joinery using hardwoods, laminates and sheet materials is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bench joiner or cabinetmaker.
• Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings.
• Skilled in using workshop machinery and hand tools safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and a team player.
• Experience with hardwoods, laminates and sheet materials.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting technical drawings and working independently.
• Machining, assembling, and finishing products in the workshop.
• Working with a variety of materials including hardwoods, laminates and sheet materials.
• Ensuring all work meets quality standards and deadlines.
