Job summary

Philosophy Education seeks a dedicated Sixth Form Co-Ordinator for a Kensington and Chelsea secondary school. The role is a temporary-permanent placement, starting asap, to supervise sixth-form students and guide their university choices while maintaining a productive study environment.

You will work with the Sixth Form Team to monitor attendance, support personal learning plans, and liaise with UCAS to ensure high-standard applications.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and guiding sixth-form students in choices for university and beyond.
• Strong communication and collaboration with Sixth Form team and external bodies.
• Ability to manage study areas and uphold a formal ethos in learning spaces.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the silent Study Area and ensure a productive environment.
• Register students for each study period within the first 5 minutes.
• Ensure students remain actively engaged during study periods and follow rules.
• Attend Sixth Form assemblies and liaise with KS5 students to model professional behaviour.
• Support, mentor and motivate students while recognising individual needs and challenges.
• Report attendance and punctuality issues and liaise with staff to address blockers to progress.
• Coordinate with UCAS lead to ensure high-quality UCAS applications and guidance.
• Collaborate with Head of Sixth Form and Attendance Officer on daily duties and communications.
• Run and oversee an extra-curricular society of your choosing.
