Our School is a Special School for pupils aged from 4 – 18, which opened in September 2011. This School serves families and pupils in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and neighbouring boroughs.

Our School will expand in September 2024 with an additional 2 form entry 6th form provision. Initially, this will be a small cohort, and the school will expand for up to 50 pupils in the coming years. Students will work to achieve entry level qualifications, a range of work experience, and develop communication and life skills to gain as much independence as possible.
We are keen to attract permanent teachers who can demonstrate an optimistic and aspirational attitude towards our pupils. Although it is desirable that you possess some prior experience of working with pupils with special educational needs, we are also keen for candidates who may not possess all the skills yet but could bring to us a positive “can do” approach, and we will train you in the appropriate techniques and strategies. This role would be suited to teachers with prior experience in SEN teaching and those who have knowledge in accreditation-based qualifications such as coursework-based or portfolio awards, but this is not essential.
The successful candidate will lead on the school’s ‘Work Related Learning’ programme and provide curriculum foci throughout the school and build links for work experience opportunities.
