Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a high-performing Reading academy to appoint a Lead Practitioner of Economics & Business Studies starting January. You will drive Sixth Form quantitative analysis, enterprise pedagogy, and curriculum outcomes across KS4 and KS5, modelling high-impact teaching across the Social Sciences faculty.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QLTS) with an honors degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management, or related field.
• Consistent track record of top GCSE and A-Level outcomes.
• Experience in peer mentoring, curriculum design, or assessment analysis.
• Deep subject expertise spanning micro/macroeconomics and corporate management.

Responsabilidades

• Teach KS4 Business and KS5 Economics/Business Studies.
• Lead coaching on economic diagrams, quantitative data analysis, and 25-mark evaluative essays.
• Audit and refine curriculum sequencing with real-world economic policy and case studies.
• Analyse internal assessments to implement targeted intervention clinics.
• Prepare Sixth Form students for university entrance assessments and competitions.
• Mentor and observe staff to drive evidence-based teaching and consistent assessment moderation.
