Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an articulate and highly analytical Teacher of Economics and Business Studies for a full-time, permanent post in Bath. The successful candidate will deliver A-Level Economics and GCSE Business Studies within the Social Sciences faculty, starting in January.

You will lead assessments, prepare mock exams, support UCAS applications, and provide pastoral guidance as a Form Tutor to Sixth Form students, helping them achieve strong results and university progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, QTLS) or UK credentials with an honours degree in Economics, Finance or Business
• Deep knowledge across A-Level Microeconomics and Macroeconomics
• Enhanced DBS Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Responsibilities

• Teach A-Level Economics and GCSE Business Studies
• Train Sixth Form pupils in data handling, diagrams and evaluative writing
• Manage department assessment cycles and mock exam preparation
• Support Sixth Form UCAS applications for Economics, Finance and Business
• Assess, track and report student progress using assessments and papers
• Fulfil pastoral duties as Form Tutor
