Job summary

Intertek is seeking a qualified NDT Technician to perform UT, MPI and DPI inspections on customer sites across the United Kingdom, with additional duties in the Derby Laboratory. You will report inspection results, maintain quality standards, and engage with clients and auditors to ensure technical excellence.

Applicants should hold PCN Level 2 in UT, MPI and DPI, with Phased Array and Eddy Current qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• PCN Level 2 certification in UT, MPI and DPI is required.
• Phased Array Level 2 PCN or Eddy Current Level 2 is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• NDT inspections predominantly on customer sites across the UK; some work in the Derby Laboratory.
• Produce clear, accurate inspection reports within audited quality systems.
• Collaborate with customers and quality auditors to ensure high standards of service.

Job description

Join a growing Site Services team where no two days are the same. This role offers the opportunity to work on customer sites across the UK, carrying out a variety of NDT inspections, while also supporting work within our Derby laboratory. You'll be part of a business that invests in its people, offering ongoing training and the chance to develop advanced inspection skills, including Phased Array. Working closely with customers and quality auditors, you'll play a key role in delivering high standards of service and technical excellence. Key activities

NDT Inspection predominantly on customer's sites, but will also involve working in our Derby Laboratory

You are a qualified NDT Technician with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and delivering accurate inspection results. You hold PCN Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), with Phased Array and Eddy Current qualifications or experience being advantageous. You enjoy working in a customer-facing environment, are comfortable travelling to sites across the UK, and can adapt to changing priorities and project requirements. You take pride in producing clear, accurate reports and understand the importance of working within audited quality systems. Most importantly, you have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to develop your career in Non-Destructive Testing.
