Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage NPD projects from factory trial to launch.
• Ensure compliance for new product lines introduced to the business.
• Make decisions on stock rejected due to out-of-spec results.
• Investigate issues and perform root-cause analysis and reporting.
• Develop the role into a step-up/step-down path and train QA staff.
• Embed a culture of customer satisfaction with internal and external customers.
• Manage technical action plans at site level and HACCP team leadership.
• Oversee supplier approval maintenance and manage supplier relationships.

Site Technical Manager 70k

Bakery experience is essential

I am Looking for someone with an extensive background in food manufacturing . Ideally 5 years within a Technical position. Small site with plenty of potential to expand, keen for someone to be able to hit the ground running. They need someone who has managed teams before ideal for someone stepping up from a Quality Manager position, that has lead retailer audits and managed teams.

You Will

• Manage ongoing NPD projects from factory trial to launch
• Any new lines being added into the business they will ensure all has been done from a compliance point of view
• Make decisions on stock that has been made out of specification and make the decision whether to reject and not send the product
• Investigation and reporting (root cause analysis etc)

About the Role

• Develop TSM into a step up/step down role
• Develop QA's - clear training plan in place for professional courses to support the role i.e. HACCP, Food Hygiene, Internal auditing
• Embed a culture of customer satisfaction, to include internal and external customers.
• Manage Technical action plans at site level
• Site HACCP Team Leader
• Manage service supplier relationship for the site - i.e. pest control
• Ensure Supplier Approval is maintained up to date for all suppliers to site

Skills and Qualifications

• Working background at a senior level in the food production sector, including experience working with retail clients and in a customer facing role.
• Previous management/team leader experience of a technical and/or quality team
• Level 4 HACCP
• Lead Audit experience
• Experience of devising a technical management system from scratch that ensure food safety and quality.
