Job summary

INEOS Grangemouth seeks a Site Systems Specialist to maintain and operate site systems equipment, ensuring HSE and reliability targets are met. The role is permanent, based at Grangemouth with a 37.5-hour week.

You will troubleshoot faults, manage contractor relationships, and ensure compliance with COSHH, ATEX and relevant standards, with opportunities to drive safety and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in electronic security systems, fire detection and alarm systems, access control, CCTV, networking or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of BS 5839-1 and fire safety regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across integrated site systems.
  • Experience producing technical specifications, scopes of work and compliance documentation.
  • UK Driving License.
  • Experience managing external contractors and specialist service providers.
  • Understanding of project management principles, including planning, budgeting and delivery of system upgrades.
  • Knowledge of gas detection and other critical life safety systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across departments.
  • Willing to accommodate some periods of personal inconvenience to support delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate a total asset care service for site systems equipment to meet HSE/reliability targets and comply with INEOS Grangemouth standards.
  • Investigate faults to accurately ascertain root causes, identify repairs and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Observe and adhere to health and safety rules on site (Control of Work, COSHH, ATEX/Compex, 18th Edition, PUWER) and raise follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate with COW, planners and asset technical teams to plan equipment release per asset care schedules.
  • Assist and support contractors/vendors to ensure timely progression of maintenance activities.
  • Work with the maintenance team to expedite repairs and deliver against the schedule.

About Our Opportunity

Key Accountabilities
  • Maintain and operate a total asset care service for all site systems equipment (design, maintenance, modifications, upgrades) to meet business HSE/reliability targets and comply with Ineos Grangemouth standards
  • Investigate/examine all faulty equipment to accurately ascertain the root cause of faults, identify and implement repairs and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Observe and adhere to all health and safety rules on site, procedures, standards and behaviours (e.g. Control of Work, COSHH, ATEX/Compex, 18th Edition, Manual Handling, Risk assessments, PUWER etc. including the raising and follow-up of any issues/actions as appropriate) ensuring Ineos principles are met.
  • Through influencing and reasoning with the COW, planners and asset technical teams, agree the planning and preparation of equipment release in line with the asset care schedules.
  • Actively assist and support contractors / vendors to ensure timely progression of maintenance activities
  • Work productively and assist other members of the maintenance team as required, to expedite repair of equipment and deliver against the maintenance schedule/plan.
About You
Required
  • Relevant qualifications in electronic security systems, fire detection and alarm systems, access control, CCTV, networking or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations, including BS 5839-1, fire safety legislation and security management best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across integrated site systems
