Job summary

Building Careers UK seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects across North and South Cumbria. You will supervise day-to-day site operations, coordinate site teams and subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with programme, quality, and health and safety standards.

The role reports to the Site Manager, requiring strong leadership and practical civil engineering knowledge. A full UK driving licence and CSCS/SSSTS are essential or advantageous.

Qualifications

• SSSTS (SMSTS advantageous)
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• EUSR Water Hygiene (desirable)
• NRSWA Supervisor (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities on site.
• Coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with procedures.
• Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure works are completed to specification.
• Maintain accurate site records, including diaries, permits, and inspection reports.
• Identify and escalated site issues to the Site Manager where required.
• Support programme delivery by ensuring works are completed on schedule.
• Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture across site.
