Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations across infrastructure projects in the water, utilities and civil sectors. You will coordinate site operatives and subcontractors, manage work sequencing and monitor progress to maintain safety, quality and programme delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure works.
• Experience in water or wastewater sectors is highly advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple site activities.
• Excellent communication skills to motivate and lead site teams.
• Proactive problem-solving and delivery of on-site solutions.
• Relevant site qualifications, such as SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS card, and health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring safety and alignment with programme.
• Coordinate operatives, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Ensure work meets schedules, specifications and quality standards.
• Carry out regular site inspections and health and safety compliance.
• Lead toolbox talks, briefings and site inductions.
• Monitor progress and report delays, risks or issues to the project team.
• Maintain accurate site records and reports.
• Build strong relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors and site teams.
• Support project delivery from mobilisation through to completion.
