A leading company in the water treatment sector seeks a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join its Construction team in the Southwest Water Region. The role involves overseeing mechanical site activities, ensuring quality compliance, and maintaining health and safety standards. Suitable candidates will have significant experience in the energy sector and relevant engineering qualifications.
We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Mechanical Site Supervisor in the Southwest Water Region, based at Knapp Mill Bournemouth.
You will report directly to the Lead Site Supervisor, and your role will be to supervise and control all mechanical site activities efficiently, ensuring they meet the specifications and are completed within the contract timeframe, without compromising health and safety. You will also be responsible for delivering a quality end product, ensuring a quality installation with all Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) completed as the work progresses.
Key responsibilities will include:
Knowledge/Experience: Several years of experience working in the Energy sector. Understanding of pipework fabrication, welding, and erection. Recognizes quality welding. Ability to punch and snag pipelines in accordance with Isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings.
Education/Qualifications: HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a good apprenticeship in pipework and welding, along with relevant experience. Certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aider are required.
