Job summary

Graham School is seeking a Site Supervisor/Caretaker to maintain a secure, clean and safe environment for all users. The role involves supervising cleaning staff, using cleaning equipment and chemicals with protective clothing provided, and working outdoors in all weathers to keep the premises safe.

The position offers 37 hours per week with shifts from 6.30am–2.30pm and 10.30am–6.30pm. It is a permanent post under the Facilities Manager with occasional travel, and a safeguarding-focused

Qualifications

• Caretaking experience or willingness to undertake relevant duties.
• Ability to supervise cleaning staff and ensure hygiene standards.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality caretaking services to create a secure, safe, and hygienic environment for all building users.
• May supervise cleaning staff and coordinate cleaning tasks.
• Work with tools, cleaning equipment and chemicals, using provided protective clothing.

Job description

This role is provide high quality effective caretaking services to ensure a secure, safe and hygienic environment for all building users and may supervise cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness within the school. The Site Supervisor and Cleaning Team as a whole are responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and buildings throughout the school. The postholder is required to work with tools, cleaning equipment and products which contain chemicals, but the necessary protective clothing will be provided. Also required to work outdoors in all weathers to ensure the school premises is safe.
