Job summary

CR1 Group Limited is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Supervisor to oversee a refurbishment at a busy distribution centre, including fire doors, fire alarms and passive fire protection works. You will lead site operations and drive productivity to meet programme deadlines.

Start date is immediate, with a 5-week initial contract and potential for further work. Hours are flexible (8:00–17:00, some days 5:00 start); candidates must hold a valid CSCS card and SSSTS qualification, plus proven

• CSCS Card valid and SSSTS qualification required.
• Experience supervising refurbishment projects.
• Experience managing fire door, alarm, or passive fire protection works advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple fronts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site teams carrying out fire protection works.
• Ensure productivity and progress against the programme.
• Monitor quality and progress on site.
• Liaise daily with Main Contractor's Project Manager.
• Provide regular progress updates to Line Manager.
• Promote high standards of health and safety.
• Assist in resolving site issues and maintaining programme deadlines.
• Ensure works meet project specifications and quality standards.

Freelance Site Supervisor Required

Location: Distribution Centre Project

Duration: 5 Weeks (with further work available for the right candidate)

Hours: Flexible 8.00am - 5.00pm (some days 5.00am)

The works will include the installation of fire doors, fire alarms, and fire stopping, and we require a proactive individual who can effectively manage site operations and drive productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site teams carrying out fire protection works.
• Ensure operatives remain productive and focused on programme delivery.
• Monitor the quality and progress of all works on site.
• Liaise daily with the Main Contractor's Project Manager.
• Provide regular progress updates to your Line Manager.
• Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Assist in resolving site issues and maintaining programme deadlines.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Essential Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.
• SSSTS qualification (minimum requirement).
• Previous experience supervising refurbishment projects.
• Experience managing fire door, fire alarm, or passive fire protection works would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple work fronts.
